I am speaking at Bizcamp Galway about our experiences in pricing. There’s loads of things that we have learnt over the last 3 years and I’ll be sharing them with everyone that turns up. All of my experience is in Software and the Internet so its most appropriate for people setting up businesses in those sectors but I’m sure there are take aways for all industries.
There are tons of other talks going on and I’m particularly looking forward to seeing Elaine Divilly and Carmel Dooley’s PR master class as well as Rory’s O’Connor’s workshop on using Lego to enhance innovation. If I get the time I’ll probably also pop into Alistar McDermott’s talk on ‘Launching your business online’
My talk is on in St. Anthony’s Lecture Hall at 12 noon.>

Hi Caelen,
Another great presentation and on a subject that is very important. I just had a quick question around your ‘Price does not equal cost’ example. Where did you get the data around the cost of CRM Implementation? In particular the statistics around data migration and implementation.
Our solution (currently in alpha) helps reduce these costs so it would be great to reference these stats for our ROI models. Which will hopefully help our pricing strategy.
Thanks,
Connor (@ConnorPM)

Hi Conor
The figures are on the basis of personal experience. I’ve been involved in the roll out of 5 different CRM systems and trust me my estimates are at the low end.
Thanks Caelen. I’d love to hear more about your CRM experience and possibly get your thoughts on our proposition from a sales guru’s perspective. Could I maybe buy you a coffee/beer some day you are free for a quick chat?
We’re only up the road from your office (Baggot St). I’d also be delighted to share what little i learnt while helping grow the Nhs.uk site (NHS Choices project) from 1million to 7million unique visitors a month.
